The American Warrior Initiative (AWI) partnered with a Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation branch in Park City, Utah to raise money to help U.S. military families. Along with a donation, a residential housing “Boot Camp” was held to train real estate professionals and mortgage planners on how to handle with excellence the home purchase needs of active duty military and veterans.

AWI and Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation raised $15,000 for this event, which will cover the cost for six military families to attend a two-week Post Traumatic Stress Wellness Treatment and Retreat at the National Ability Center.

Located in Park City, Utah, the National Ability Center empowers individuals of all abilities by building self-esteem, confidence and lifetime skills through sports, recreation and educational programs. The National Ability Center serves 5,500 unique individuals through more than 35,000 experiences each year. Approximately 1,500 of those individuals are transitioning military service members and their families. For more information about the National Ability Center, click here.

Founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage. The AWI seeks to ease U.S. veterans’ transition from military to civilian life.

I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer any questions about VA loans or any other home loan options, give me a call.
